Museum Tours
Tours of the Doctor Small Home and the Taylor One-Room Schoolhouse are available upon request during your visit to the museum campus. If your group consists of more than five people, we ask that you call ahead to book a tour with our staff.

School Trips
Classes can take a teacher-guided tour throughout the Kankakee County Museum and gardens. Instructors may teach their own history lesson in the Taylor One-Room Schoolhouse. Interpretive tours by the museum staff are available upon request. Please contact us to schedule a trip!

$100 Non-Refundable Deposit Holds the Date (Part of the $500)
*Please note that electricity, bathrooms, facilities, and museum staff all included. However, chairs, tents, and sound equipment are not provided. There is a maximum capacity of 75 people. No decorations allowed on columns.

Whether you need information on the factory where your grandfather worked, the name of a family that lived at a particular address in 1947, help with a school report, or a photo of a Kankakee landmark to display in your home or office, our researchers stand ready to help.
